Can I get the Victorian insulation rebate?

From 1 October 2026, eligible Victorian homes with no ceiling insulation or existing insulation below R2.0 may be eligible for a VEU insulation discount. Your home must also meet the program’s other eligibility and safety requirements.

How much can I save on insulation?

The Victorian Energy Upgrades program offers an insulation discount of up to $1,482 for eligible Victorian households. The discount is expected to reduce the average cost of ceiling insulation by approximately 30–50%, depending on the home and installation.

When does the insulation discount start?

The VEU insulation discount expands to eligible Victorian homes from 1 October 2026. This includes homes with no ceiling insulation or under-insulated ceilings.

How do I claim the insulation discount?

You don’t apply for the discount separately through the Victorian Government. An eligible VEU-accredited provider manages the discount as part of the installation process. Oz Homes can check your home’s eligibility, provide a quote and explain the applicable discount.

OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd provides reliable product delivery services. For locations within a designated local service radius, deliveries are carried out for a competitive flat fee. For projects, regional locations, or jobs requiring professional installation outside our standard radius, please reach out to our team directly to arrange a customized quotation.

Once your order has been processed and paid for in full, dispatch typically occurs within 1 to 2 business days. In certain cases, expedited or same-day dispatch may be available upon request.

If any ordered items are temporarily out of stock, we will promptly notify you and provide an expected fulfillment or delivery date.

Returns & Refund Policy

In addition to your statutory rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and other applicable Australian consumer laws, OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd may issue a refund or exchange at our discretion, provided we have given prior written consent and the following conditions are met:

  • The order is formally canceled prior to product dispatch or shipment.
  • Unopened and undamaged products are returned within 30 days of purchase.

Please note that return collection and restocking fees may apply to returned inventory. Customers are generally responsible for organizing the safe return of stock back to our depot. Any approved returns of unopened materials may be subject to a restocking fee (calculated as a percentage of the total purchase value or a standard handling charge).

Project or installation service cancellations will attract a cancellation fee relative to the total project value to cover preparatory work and scheduling. For completed home improvement projects, refunds or credits for any unused leftover materials are calculated based on current retail pricing, excluding any associated labor costs.

2. Pricing & Orders

All listed prices are inclusive of GST and exclude freight or delivery charges unless otherwise specified.

Orders are finalized upon receipt and acknowledgment by our team. We make every effort to process online or direct orders within 1 business day.

If a product is unavailable, we will contact you to discuss suitable alternatives, adjustments, or full reimbursements.

3. Freight Damage & Transit Issues

Any claims regarding transit damage, missing items, or defective products must be reported to OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd support immediately upon receipt, and no later than 48 hours following delivery.

4. Statutory Consumer Guarantees

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality.

At OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd, we strive to offer the most competitive pricing on all our insulation materials and services. However, if you find a lower verified price (including GST and delivery fees) on an identical, in-stock item available for immediate purchase or collection from a competitor, we will beat it by 5%. Please note that this offer excludes trade quotes, clearance stock liquidations, and commercial bulk quantities.

How to Claim

You can request our price match by presenting official documentation such as advertising collateral, a genuine dated receipt, or a formal written quote from a recognized Victorian retail competitor. The item must be completely identical in brand, product type, and R-value, and must be verified as currently in stock by our team. Price matching must be requested prior to completing your purchase.

Environmental & Carbon Credits

Where applicable under government schemes or home improvement programs, any carbon credits or energy efficiency certificates generated in connection with installations performed by OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd shall be retained by or assigned to us, and the property owner agrees to sign any necessary documentation to facilitate this apportionment.

Pricing & Typographical Errors

In the event that an item is listed or quoted at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or incorrect data received from a supplier, OZ HOMES INSULATION Pty Ltd reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for items listed at the incorrect rate.
