Most climate zones in Australia will not require more than an R-rating of 4.0 in the ceiling. Though it’s possible to invest in a higher R-rating than R4.1, unless you’re living in the coldest regions of Australia, it’s unlikely that a higher R-rating will result in any further significant energy savings.
