Bradford Gold wall insulation batts are specifically designed to deliver optimal performance in exterior cavity walls. You can lose up to 25% of the heat in your home through the walls in winter and around the same amount of heat can enter in through the walls during summer.
Reduce the need for internal heating and cooling
Manufactured from glasswool, the wall batts are specially stiffened and treated to provide a moisture resistant insulation – meeting the Building Code of Australia’s minimum requirements for energy efficiency in homes. The glasswool contains millions of air pockets, which resist the flow of air or radiation through the insulation. When properly installed, Bradford Gold wall insulation can reduce energy used for heating and cooling by up to 20% leading to a decrease in energy consumption and in your energy bills.
Unlike other forms of heating and cooling control, wall insulation requires no maintenance or replacement. In most Australian climates, an R1.5 in the external wall would be considered a minimum. At 75mm thick, it fits nicely in most wall cavities, providing a moderate level of thermal protection. Ideally, insulate all the outside walls when the house is being built, as it is much more costly to do it later.
